Kunal Patni Chiplead on WPT Euro Main Event Day 3

Just a few days back, Indian poker player and Adda52 Pro Kunal Patni was in the news with a second place finish at the WPTDS Berlin Main Event and a career best live cash of $115,368 (~INR 73 lakhs). Kunal wasn’t keen on leaving Berlin anytime soon as he then moved on to the WPT European Championship Berlin Main Event, going into Day 3 with the chip lead!

He seems to be on one of the best runs of his career at the moment, and will be looking to keep up his lead on Day 3 of the Main Event. The event had a €3,300 buy-in and it attracted a total field of 339 entries. After two days of grinding, we’re down to the last 49 contenders for the mega prize of €218,435 ($255,352) for the first place finish.

The event is taking place at the Spielbank Berlin Casino and Patni has a current chip stack of 515,000, followed by Patrice Brandt (514,000) and Han Kuo (510,000). Along with the cash prize for the top place, the winner will also receive a free entry into the $15,000 buy-in WPT Tournament of Champions at the ARIA in Las Vegas in May 2018. So, there’s a lot at stake for the final 49 contenders.

Mumbai based Patni was also the joint chip leader coming into the final day at the WPTDS Berlin Main Event, but he will want to keep the lead for a longer period this time, finish as the winner and break his record of highest career live cash which he just set a few days back.
