Lakshpal Singh claims Head-Hunter title on Spartan

If you are an active player in online poker tournaments hosted by Spartan Poker, you would know that Lakshpal Singh is among the top names in the online circuit at the moment. Yesterday, Spartan hosted a bounty tournament called Head-Hunter INR 10 Lakhs GTD and Singh added another title to his poker cabinet.

Last night saw another edition of this progressive knockout event beginning at 8:00 pm. By the end of the registration, there were 299 entries participating in this event for a buy-in of INR 5,500. The guaranteed amount was surpassed and INR 11.96 Lakhs in prize pool was collected to be shared among the top 27 places, all of whom received minimum cash of INR 11,960. In Level #44 (20,000/40,000 ante 3,000) Singh played against Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘HomelessOnWifi’ heads-up. In the final hand of the tournament, Singh was ahead holding 1.6 million chips as compared to Mahboobani’s 1.3 million. Both players decided to make a deal and as a result of his bigger stack, Singh emerged as the champion of the night.

Singh plays as ‘LuckyBhai$’ on Spartan Poker and his last night’s win allowed him to make another addition to his poker bankroll. The top prize was further sweetened with the addition of the bounties collected throughout the tournament. The 23-year old took up poker as a profession a while back and has already made quite a splash in the domestic circuit creating an impressive online record so far. Other notable players receiving a payout include Sreekanth K N aka ‘n0thing’ (7^th), Anirban Das aka ‘pokernoob’ (11^th), Yuvraj Singh aka ‘madnutscrazy’ (15^th), Mandar Madaye aka ‘MAMA04’ (20^th), Ayush Garg aka ‘Lazyman’ (22^nd) and Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ (23^rd) among others.
