Among the reputed sites riding the Indian online poker market wave is PokerBaazi. They are in the tops in this game and have consistently improved their strategies and built the brand to the comfortable position it is in now, and that doesn’t come easily. It requires a lot of brainstorming and dedication for this skill-based game to come up with innovative promotions and events. Their Baazi Rewards Program is one of the most loved promotions in the Indian poker scene.
A typical Sunday in PokerBaazi’s life is filled with a host of action-packed all-stakes tournaments to suit all kinds of pocket sizes. The major one is the INR 15 Lakhs GTD Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack.
Yesterday’s SuperStack attracted a total playing field o 288 entries (117 re-entries) for a buy-in of INR 5,500. Top 34 places were paid in the tournament with minimum cash prize being INR 14,250. The tournament began at 7 pm in the evening and was in the books by 1:22 am today morning.
Emerging as the champion after almost a 7-hour grind was another regular Mihir Thakkar aka ‘mihirparv’ taking home a good amount of INR 2,70,000 as 1st place cash prize. He beat ‘Amarjeet’ in the heads-up battle to bag his title. The runner-up had to settle for INR 1,98,750, not a bad amount at all. Thakkar also finished 5th on PokerBaazi BSS PLO INR 5 Lakhs GTD and won INR 37,500 there.
Thakkar, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has bagged a couple of wins already on other platforms. He won one of the Adda52 Godfather 6.0 titles in early November this year for a whopping INR 5 Lakhs and also won a seat to play in the Godfather Finale SNG which awarded INR 7 Lakhs package to play in the upcoming 2019 Aussie Millions. Unfortunately for him, ‘thealienist’ shipped the SNG yesterday and won the awesome package. Along with this, the champion Thakkar, also finished runner-up in Adda52 Roar back in September this year.
Thakkar has a sizeable number of cash outs for the amount of poker he has played and with this huge win yesterday on PokerBaazi, his bankroll is looking really strong which will enable him to play in more upcoming tournaments next year, which is touted to be one of the most exciting in poker.
Other regulars to cash out out of 34 places were Neeraj Kumar aka ‘SelfClaimedPro’ (5th – INR 92,250), one of PPL Winter winners Akash Gupta aka ‘durrrr1310’ (7th – INR 57,750), recent Endeavour winner Ashish Munot aka ‘OMG_spew’ (13th – INR 21,750), Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ (18th – INR 18,750), Prince Singh aka ‘NaNki’ (19th – INR 18,750), Vivek Dubey aka ‘Vivek25’ (22nd – INR 17,250) and Deepak Singh aka ‘Peacelover’ (34th – INR 14,250).
