MIPL Team Haryana Hawks Makes PokerBaazi Title Sponsor

Now, the excitement is building ahead of Season 2 of the MIPL, which is set to take place on 31st March in Kolkata. Three new teams were added to the tournament for Season 2, one of them being Haryana Hawks. In a recent development, Haryana Hawks have signed poker company PokerBaazi as their title sponsor for Season 2. Prior to this, another new team UP Indians confirmed their association with TheSpartanPoker, also a top Indian poker website.

PokerBaazi is one of the most trusted poker websites in the country and partnering with them will certainly do good for the Hawks. The website is also offering players a chance to qualify and become a member of the Haryana Hawks team, through qualifiers being held on the website between 18th and 21st March. The top 15 players from qualifier 1, 2 and 3 will be eligible to play in the finale. The winner will qualify to play for the Haryana Hawks in MIPL Season 2, along with other prizes.

Qualifier details:

  • Qualifier 1: 8:30 pm, 18th March
  • Qualifier 2: 8:30 pm, 19th March
  • Qualifier 2: 8:30 pm, 20th March
  • Qualifier Finale: 8:30 pm, 21st March

PokerBaazi founder and CEO Navkiran Singh said, “It’s a proud moment for PokerBaazi to associate with Match IPL – first of its kind in India. Team Haryana Hawks has some of the most talented Poker players from the country. I think MIPL is a great platform for poker players to showcase their skill at this spectacular mind-sport. We are really looking forward to this breakthrough concept. This will play an instrumental role in changing the mind-set of people about poker, especially in our country.”

“With PokerBaazi.com coming as our shareholders, we hope to use their experience and expertise in Poker business and their trusted brand to help us get maximum traction and brand value. We believe we have created the best synergies by this association and are looking forward to continuously use PokerBaazi.com’s expertise in poker business to enhance our brand value and market visibility,” said Pulkit Totla, co-owner of Haryana Hawks.

The team will be captained by Jagdeep Singh, one of India’s best high-stakes PLO players. He was a part of the Mumbai team that won the first season and went on to represent India at the Poker Nations Cup, so a lot can be expected from his team in Match IPL Season 2.
