It has been over a week now since the start of the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. Ten gold bracelets are scheduled to be given away in this prestigious series and now, we’re here to report the third of those bracelet winners.
Event #1 was won by Israel’s Tamir Segal and the very next day, Israel’s Asi Moshe was victorious in Event #2. With Event #3 still underway, we’re bringing to you the result of Event #4 and this time, it’s not another Israeli poker player, but a Ukrainian player – Mykhailo Gutyi.
Event #4: €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo Bounty Hunter was a single-day event scheduled for yesterday, 17th October, and Gutyi emerged victorious in this tournament after 13 hours of grinding. He took away the top prize of €61,299 (~INR 51.93 lakh) for beating the field of 387 entries.
He defeated Germany’s Florian Sarnow in heads-up, who walked away with the runner-up prize of €37,678, while also claiming his maiden WSOP gold bracelet and bagging the highest live cash of his career. For Team India, it was a good outing too, as Bharat Janardhan finished 10th for a prize of €2,958 (~INR 2.5 lakh).
Final table results:
Gutyi had a couple of good results prior to this big win here in Rozvadov, including a min-cash in the Colossus Event. Now, this win has also given him the confidence to playing the prestigious Main Event, which he confirmed he will be doing.
