Nishant Dalal wins Spartan’s Sunday SuperStack

The Spartan Poker, one of the big ones in Indian online poker game, hosts plenty of tournaments all around the year. A typical Sunday on Spartan’s platform is studded with high-stakes signature tournaments, all having staggering guarantees and reasonable buy-ins.

Last night, Spartan hosted Sunday SuperStack INR 25 lakh GTD, with the event drawing a total of 346 entries, including 75 re-entries. All the entries individually chipped in the buy-in of INR 5,500 to surpass the guarantee by an extra INR 1,45,000.

The event started at 7:30 pm yesterday and was in the books by 3:10 am today morning. Top 50 places were paid out. After a grind of almost 8 hours, Nishant Dalal aka ‘tilt_master’ was crowned as the champion, sweeping an overwhelming INR 6,87,700 as 1^st place cash prize.

He defeated another known player ‘GTOsucks’ in heads-up, who cashed out a sizeable amount of INR 4,23,200. The anonymous player already won 3 tournaments on Spartan last month, the Elite, Destiny 7.0 and completing a hat-trick with the Mega Stack win a couple days later.

Entering the heads-up battle, Dalal had already accumulated a huge chip lead of over 6:1, playing spectacularly throughout the series, so shipping the tournament was almost already decided for him. The final hand saw GTOsucks call Dalal’s all-in pre-flop. The board came to Js 2h 6d 4c Kh and Dalal swept the table clean with a pair of twos when he showed Qd 2d beating GTOsucks’ King-high hand.

Other known names to cash out include the SSS SHR winner ‘randomiser’ (48^th), Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘instrumental’ (45^th), Avadh Shah aka ‘Joka240’ (40^th), Sumit Sapra aka ‘mrgr33n’ (34^th), Vidwath Shetty aka ‘RoronoA’ (26^th), Kanishka Samant aka ‘Wildflower’ (25^th), Abhinav Iyer aka ‘Schumi91’ (24^th), Sahil Chutani aka ‘$lim$hady19’ (22^nd), Vivek Rughani aka ‘Pokerbatman27’ (20^th), Neel Joshi aka ‘Worm33’ (14^th), and Anirban Das aka ‘pokernoob’ (13^th).

Finishing 9^th was a previous Mega Suits winner Gokul Raj aka ‘Super Kings’, taking home INR 50,255. Filling the 4^th place was Shravan Chhabria aka ‘D.Trump04’ taking home INR 1,74,570.
