The ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas has teamed up with Poker Central to announce the launch of the High Roller of the Year award, an added incentive to loyal poker players who participate in big buy-in events that Poker Central offers throughout the year. This will be the first ever ‘player of the year’ program made only for high rollers.
Points towards the High Roller of the Year award will be awarded based on results from Poker Central’s line-up of high stakes events throughout the year. Point multipliers will be applied to larger buy-in events and major tournaments, and the top performers will be rewarded with valuable prizes on an annual basis.
Players can start accumulating points for this award, beginning with the $25K ARIA High Roller Series which kicks off on 31st May at the new PokerGO Studio within the ARIA. All future ARIA High Roller series will also count towards the award, including the High Roller Triple Crown, which comprises of the Poker Masters, U.S. Poker Open, and the Super High Roller Bowl.
The 2019 Super High Roller Bowl will mark the last event of the calendar, typically held towards the end of May. Once that event is concluded, the first ever High Roller of the Year will be awarded, and it’ll be interesting to see which of the top high stakes players will walk away with this award.
“This player of the year system gives the ARIA High Roller Series and High Roller Triple Crown an extra layer of competition for our poker pros. While not only rewarding players for consistent performance in these events, we want to create added story lines and drama to the series that can be followed throughout the year,” said VP of content at Poker Central, Sam Simmons.
