PokerStars announces 2019 PCA schedule

PokerStars is the global poker leader and not many brands across the world can try to compete with this company. Apart from being an online poker giant, they also host regular live poker series across the world under the PokerStars Live brand. Participation to these events are massive, with players from around the world taking part.

During these live events throughout the year, they give out what are known as PSPC Platinum Passes, worth $30,000 each. Now let’s explain to you what these passes are, in case you don’t already know. They are tickets to the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) Main Event, which is scheduled to take place at The Bahamas in January 2019.

Now we’re all expecting it to be some crazy competition in January, considering all those who will be participating are past winners in PokerStars Live events. The company has gone on to release complete details of the PSPC including the 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) schedule.

Important details about the PSPC Main Event include each player getting 60,000 in chips, levels lasting for one-hour each and the first blinds at 100 and 200, meaning that the starting stack is worth 300 big blinds. The big blind ante will be in place since the start while the 30-second shot clock and the 30-second time bank card will begin after reaching the money bubble. The tournament has a buy-in of $25k and is scheduled between 6-10 January.

Now the PSPC will be a part of the PCA which is scheduled between 5-16 January and a total of 41 tournaments will be played out during this time. The series will be played at the Atlantis Resort & Casino on Paradise Island and here are some of the highlight tournaments scheduled:

  • $5,300 Turbo (7-8 January)
  • $50,000 Single-Day High Roller Event (9 January)
  • $1,100 PCA National (10-11 January)
  • $100,000 Super High Roller (10-12 January)
  • $100,000 Single-Day (12 January)
  • $25,000 High Roller (14-16 January)
