Pranav Khandalkar wins Adda52’s 1.2L package to Goa

One of the big names in the poker industry, Adda52, hosts a variety of tournaments all around the year. They also host four Go Goa tournaments every month on four Tuesdays. The format features a 9-max table and attracts plenty of entries, making it a decently popular tournament in the scene.

Two winners from each of the four Go Goa events gets to play in the Go Goa SnG sometime in the end of the month. The winner from the 8-max SnG earns an INR 1.2 Lakhs package to Goa. The package includes INR 1 Lakhs worth of Deltin Poker Tournament buy-in and travel and stay worth INR 20K.

This month’s Go Goa SnG, which was scheduled for 9^th December, was pushed to yesterday, the 14^th December. The winner of the package trip to Goa was the well-known poker player Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pkpok’. He took home the package by playing for a duration of over 2 and a half hours.

Khandalkar qualified for the SnG on 20^th November, when he finished 1^st in the third Go Goa tournament of the month, along with topping the Ace Race 2 Leaderboard featured on Adda52.

This year itself has seen him make deep runs in online tournaments. He has upped his game to the next level in just past few months. His ascent to the summit started in May this year, when he won the Millionaire on Spartan for a colossal INR 25 Lakhs, beating a field of well over a thousand entries. As if this wasn’t enough, he also went on to win a WPT Korea Package a few months ago on PokerDangal.

The 31-year old player hails originally from Pune, where he completed his MBA and entered into the world of numbers by working as an investment banker. He started playing poker since 2011 when he was introduced to the game by a friend. What started as something to play with friends for banter and fun metamorphized into a life-long dedication to this beautiful game.

Gutshot got in touch with him after he bagged the Goa package. He was elated with the win, and commented on the same, saying “I feel very satisfied that I won the Goa package yesterday. I’m looking forward to having a great time and a happy experience in Goa!” A man of few words but packing plenty of skill and action under the hood.
