Sheddy Siddiqui finishes runner-up at WSOPC Coconut Creek

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Events have been on in full swing around the USA and the latest stop was at Florida’s Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Late on Monday night, we reached the end of the WSOPC Coconut Creek Main Event and the winner turned out to be USA’s Dmitrii Perfilev.

It was a final table full of American poker players and Perfilev emerged victorious from them all, beating a field of 735 entries and ending a 4-day long grind to take home the biggest pay-check of $222,691. The $1,700 buy-in saw the $1 million guarantee by slightly beaten and a total of 81 players being paid out a minimum of $2,773.

If one has to check out Perfilev’s profile on the Hendon Mob, he seems to be a complete unknown person to the world of live poker tournaments. His history shows no prior victories and honestly, no prior cashes either, which makes this tournament win even more special to the player.

Sheddy Siddiqui

In heads-up, he beat Indian origin player Mohammad ‘Sheddy’ Siddiqui who had to settle for the runner-up prize of $137,298. This was another 6-figure score for Siddiqui, whose best of $330k came back in the Millionaire Maker Event of WSOP 2015. He now has over $1.5 million in live cashes.

“For me, [the money] is not so special, but I’m excited for first place. It’s my second tournament of the year. My first one came at the Isle and I made third place. And now I improve my results. I’m happy because I like the practice, but I don’t play tournaments for a while,” said the Russian-born Perfilev after the win.

Final table results:

  1. Dmitrii Perfilev – $222.691
  2. Sheddy Siddiqui – $137,298
  3. Harry O’Brien – $101,219
  4. Cesar Solares – $75,441
  5. Stuart Paterson – $56,979
  6. Michael Amato – $43,595
  7. Jordan Schneider – $33,773
  8. Jose Delcid – $26,491
  9. Lloyd Gunther – $21,034
