Thirtha Patil wins Mega Stack on Spartan

Spartan Poker’s Tuesday feature tournament Mega Stack INR 17 Lakhs GTD began yesterday at 8 pm and is played out on the platform which unfailingly attracts the top talents of the Indian poker community as well as several newcomers who are looking to make big.

This tournament saw a massive number of 537 entries who registered for a buy-in of INR 3,300. Eventually, the prize pool was shared among the top 47 places who received a paycheck of a minimum amount of INR 9,690. After 7 hours of intense grinding, the day saw the upcoming player Thirtha Patil under the username ‘Taxed’ taking home a pretty healthy sum of the prize money.

With blinds at 40,000/80,000 ante 9,000 in Level #47, 6 players were a part of the final hand. Patil (Th 7d) was leading with 2.6 million chips followed by Kanishka Samant aka ‘Wildflower’ (Js 9c) with 2.3 million chips. Pre-flop, ‘Drifter2’ (Kc 7c) quickly put his entire stack of 554k chips into the middle. Eventually, the remaining players fold and ‘Drifter2’ wins the pot. Remaining players decide to make a deal and as a result of holding the biggest stack, Patil emerged as the champion of the night.

Patil’s previous wins at Spartan also include a Mega Stack title among others. Samant is among the top players on live and online felts. It was only a couple of months ago that he earned his best live cash in the 2019 APPT High Roller, Manila. He also has to his credit two Main Event titles at the India Poker Championship (IPC), in fact, the only player who has this accomplishment. Post deal Samant took 2^nd place while Varun Gulati aka ‘vg007’ (3^rd), Rachit Parihar aka ‘d9L’ (4^th) rounded off the top 4 finishers. Other known names to cash in the tournament were Anirban Das aka ‘pokernoob’ (8^th), Apratim Sharma aka ‘checm@te’ (18^th) among others.

Spartan Poker will continue with its top value tournaments with tonight’s feature tournament being Destiny 11.0 INR 25 Lakhs GTD enticing large number of poker players who will take a shot at winning prize money as well as a chance to compete in internationally courtesy of a live poker tournament package going to the Destiny Finale winner.
