Timothy Adams leads Day 1 of WSOPE Super High Roller

Eight events have concluded at the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe and now, we’re down to the business end with just the €100k Super High Roller and the prestigious Main Event left to be played. Basically, the two most important tournaments of the series so far at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov.

Event #9: €100,000 No-Limit Hold’em King’s Super High Roller kicked off earlier today and by the end of Day 1 of this super-high buy-in, we had a total of 76 players entering the competition, and that number will increase a little tomorrow as the late registration period is still on.

At the end of day’s play, these 76 boiled down to the final 33 survivors and leading the pack was none other than Canadian poker pro, Timothy Adams. With a poker CV that reflects over $10 million in live cashes and a WSOP gold bracelet as well, you can see how good the player is.

“I ran really good. I busted a few short stacks; woke up with aces and kings when people shoved ten big blinds so that was always nice and easy. For the most part, it was a smooth sailing day; just made hands and won pots without showdown,” Adams said at the end of the day, leading for almost the entire day.

Current top ten chip counts:

  1. Timothy Adams – 12,960,000
  2. Dominik Nitsche – 9,515,000
  3. Adrian Mateos – 8,365,000
  4. Tobias Ziegler – 8,230,000
  5. Steve O’Dwyer – 7,390,000
  6. Stefan Schillhabel – 7,275,000
  7. Michael Addamo – 6,385,000
  8. David Peters – 6,110,000
  9. Mikita Badziakouski – 5,865,000
  10. Julian Thomas – 5,770,000

As you can see, other big names like 4-time gold bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche and 3-time bracelet winner Adrian Mateos are close behind Adams, so it’ll be an exciting Day 2 tomorrow. Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com for all updates on the WSOP Europe.
