As a newbie in the industry, I am kind of familiar with beginner’s guides to poker, poker terms and a few jargons. But there are also etiquettes that you must follow when at a casino for the first time. Let’s explore the basic rules of a casino that you really need to follow:
- Average age of the players: These days casinos attract many younger players who are willing to gamble. After all, for them this casino trip is a casual, fun night out. As a newbie you need to be aware that only adults, i.e. 18+ of age members are allowed to enter and gamble in casinos legally. Snooping is fun, but it could get you behind bars!
- Tipping: Tipping is a cost that you will be obliged to do when in the poker society. You must always settle for a number that is both comfortable for you and fair to the dealer. Recreational players tend to tip more than professionals because they are generally less concerned with how it affects their overall profit. Several people in the service industry like waiters, chip runners or dealers, make most of their money from tips. They usually get a minimum wage on top, but your tip could also help them in a smaller way. Be considerate and remember that these people are the ones that help you have a hassle free game at the casino.
- Gambling Atmosphere: Recreational players who play live poker at night don’t just do it for the love of the game. There is much more to the vibe in a casino. Players that love the game enjoy the experience of it. The smell of casinos, freebies, a gaming atmosphere and lots of people around that are like minded. All of this adds up to make the time at a casino worthwhile. Casinos are a treat for all of your senses!
