Vivek Rughani, Dhawal Lachhwani progress to BIG 50 Day 3

Not too long ago, we reported about Day 1A of Event #3: $500 BIG 50 NLHE which created a massive stir due to its 6,000+ field generated on the first starting flight itself. Among the 1,580 players that progressed to Day 2A were 9 Indians, led in chips by Vivek Rughani and Paawan Bansal.

Day 2A was contested today and after hours of grinding, 300+ players managed to get a bag including 2 Indians. Many of our players busted their stacks during the day including Bansal, Abhinav Iyer and others. However, Vivek Rughani made his way through, with an above-average chip stack while the only other Indian player with him is Dhawal Lachhwani.

Russia’s Mikhail Vilkov has bagged the chip lead at the end of Day 2A with a stack of 3,475,000. Rughani has done well to maintain a stack of one million chips while Lachhwani is a little below par with 325k chips in possession. Rughani impressed one and all in WSOP 2018 where he finished 88th in the Main Event while Lachhwani made a very deep run in last year’s WSOPE Monster Stack tournament.

Day 1C and Day 2B are both scheduled to take place on 1st June while all those who progressed today will head straight to Day 3 which is scheduled for 5th June. All these players will be in the money with the current pay-out at $1,500. Three players were eliminated in the final hand and they will share $1,500.

Top 10 chip counts:

  1. Mikhail Vilkov – 3,475,000
