WSOP 2019: Bracelets won by Robert Campbell, Adam Friedman

Event #33: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

The action continues in Las Vegas with the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in full swing. Another day passes by and more bracelets were awarded. In fact, it was another first-time winner in Australia’s Robert Campbell who managed to take down this Triple Draw Event to bag $144,027 in prize money along with his maiden bracelet.

The 35-year old mixed games specialist had a couple of deep runs in WSOP 2019 so far including a 6-figure score for a 5th place finish in the $10k Omaha Hi-Lo Event, so this win was coming his way. He narrowly missed his best live score of $148k and took his career winnings past $850k with this victory.

He had to beat 467 entries before earning the prestigious bracelet, as the Amazon room blasted out with ‘Aussie, Aussie, Aussie’ chants. Talking about the experience, he said, “I had that feeling of dread when I had a big chip stack at the start of the final table and [then] fell back into the pack. But straight away after dinner, three people turbo busted, I was like I ‘Go cash game mode and see what happens’. And then, Bleznick caught bad cards and he was finished.”

Final Table Results:

  1. Robert Campbell – $144,027
  2. David Bach – $88,995
  3. Jared Bleznick – $58,343
  4. Kyle Miaso – $39,126
  5. Jesse Hampton – $26,855
  6. Aron Dermer – $18,875

Event #35: $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Championship

Just a little over a year ago, Adam Friedman won Event #18 at WSOP 2018 to earn his second gold bracelet and a then career-best $293k in prize money. This year, he decided to go back-to-back and defend his title by winning the same Dealer’s Choice $10,000 Championship, this time winning his third bracelet and $312,417 in prize money.

Yes, this is now his career-best score once again and his total live poker earnings have crept up to $2.8 million with this victory. “This year definitely means more (than last year). Being able to repeat in what I still believe is the most difficult of the $10k’s to play,” said the player after winning the tournament.

He had to outlast 122 players in the fifth edition of this Dealer’s Choice Event, including some really good players and past bracelet winners. In heads-up too, he had to get past Shaun Deeb, someone who has over $6 million in live poker earnings which includes 4 WSOP gold bracelets.

Final Table Results:

  1. Adam Friedman – $312,417
  2. Shaun Deeb – $193,090
  3. Matt Glantz – $139,126
  4. David Moskowitz – $100,440
  5. Michael McKenna – $72,653
  6. Nick Schulman – $52,656
