WSOP 2020: Matt Bode wins his career-first Gold Bracelet in Event #4!


It was Day 4 of the summer online World Series of Poker (WSOP), poker fan and pros of New Jersey and Nevada were geared up to grab the prestigious gold bracelet. Within less than 6 hours of play, it was U23 WFDF Gold Medalist and an MTT grinder Matt “Bodeyster” Bode to clinch to the first place prize money of $97,091 and take home his career first bracelet!

The WSOP Online Event #4: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo drew attention of 1,179 runners, generating a prize pool of $530,550. The bubble boy of the tournament was “Allergic2Avg” and the money quickly reached the top 180 players. A few notables to secure a payout include Mike “mouth123” Matusow (86th – $954.99), Ryan “protential” Laplante (58th – $1,432), 15-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth (37th – $1,963), Matt “RubberFist” Stout (24th – $2,864), and Ari “philivey” Engel (16th – $3,501). Once again it was Shawn “Saygoodnight” Daniels making his FT appearance after finishing 4th in Event 1 of the ongoing series.

Interestingly, Bode called his shot, “Here goes to becoming a secret online crusher,” the behavior therapist, said on Twitter couple of days before the 2020 WSOP Online began. “Using pio solvers programs poker coaching sites backers and discord to ship a bracelet. Frasca moved all-in and Bode called. The board ran out 7c 3d 9s Jc 7s and the latter rivered trip seven and banked $97,091 for his win while Frasca finished in the second place earning $59,952.
