WSOP Online Series begins in Jersey, Nevada, Delaware

With the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the online poker across the globe is experiencing a surge of players. Poker rooms across the world are hosting big online tournaments and series. The virtual scenes in the US is also improving daily and the month of April begins with World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Super Circuit Series by WSOP.com.

After the live poker rooms in Las Vegas closed down, WSOP.com’s traffic has spiked. The WSOP.com’s latest offering WSOP Online Super Circuit Series in replacement for regular WSOP Circuit stops that kicked off on 5 April. The leading poker organization in the US has decided to take the tournaments online in states where it can legally do so, including New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada.

The network will also host another online tournament series named WSOP Spring Online Championship Series which will continue for four weeks with a fabulous $300,000 GTD Main Event on 3 May. This tourney boasts more than $4 million GTD spread over 100 events attempting to make a history in the US.

Tournament entries for the special online poker series range from $10 up to $1,000. The Spring Online Championship series commenced with three tournaments on 5 April. Prior to its start, WSOP.com also hosted a 12-event warm-up mini-series from 1-4 April, with $250,000 GTD up for grabs.

WSOP.com has also made sure that any players that want to participate can deposit using a range of payment options, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal, eCheck ACH and PayNearMe. The site is not the only organization to have increased its online presence following the COVID-19 lockdown. Both PokerStars and partypoker are running a series of events. PokerStars in particular has two events planned for Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the PASCOOP and NJSCOOP respectively.

However, the 51^st annual WSOP has 14 online poker bracelet events scheduled, which means players may still have some ability to compete for a WSOP title even if live poker is still not permitted in Nevada at the end of May.
