The headlining events of the WSOPC Ring Event was streamed live on Twitch via GGPoker.TV which also proved to be a massive hit! The fun and comedic podcast-style show was hosted by Joe Stapleton and GGpoker Ambassadors such as Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Felipe Ramos and Fedor Holz taking the viewers through the action.
Other notable pros such as Maria Ho, David Williams, Matt Berkey, Jesse Sylvia, Marle Cordeiro also featured on GGPoker.TV during the series. And now the entire streamed action is available via archive videos on the GGPoker.TV channel. Ty Stewart, Executive Director of World Series of Poker stated, “The support of the gaming community for the WSOPC on GGPoker was insane. No guarantees were too big. Congratulations to all 18 ring event winners.”
And the star attraction of the series, fixing numerous eyes was the WSOPC Online Main Event $5 million GTD that garnered a monstrous field of 9,779 runners through multiple flights and at the end of the intense grinding session, ‘schimmelgodx’ took home the biggest title for an incredible $1.27 million cash prize.
The Main Event also attracted a few Indian players as well and ‘Igutu’ finished 3rd bringing home $617K which is so far the biggest ever online tournament win by any player in the country. Just as WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer rules the live space, ‘Igutu’ made his place in the online arena in terms of biggest cash prizes. This would give several Indian poker fanatics inspiration to join online poker too.
And now, GGpoker wraps up the entire event which took the world on a roller coaster ride for about a month. New GGPoker players will be eligible to claim a Welcome Bonus and automatically join their Fish Buffet loyalty program, spinning for cash prizes each time they reach a new status level. The new month will give over $2 million in extra prizes to GGPoker players via monthly promotions.
