The World Series Of Poker (WSOP) is the most prestigious annual poker festival. This year has been a busy and a very unpredictable one for the WSOP. They started off with the New Year Kickoff series and then the Winter Online Championships.
The WSOP was scheduled to be hosted in the month of February, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and the trouble it has caused the United States, the online poker room of WSOP will be bringing back the highly anticipated WSOP Online Super Circuit Series beginning today.
The WSOP online Super Circuit Series has a total of 18 ring events and players will be competing for over $1.5 million in prize money. The event begins at 7pm and will go till 14 December. The winner of each event will be given a gold WSOP Circuit Ring, which was usually reserved for land based events.
The buy-in of this major event starts as low as $215 and there will also be also satellite events taking place. Players can avail a huge amount as the prize pools start at $50,000 GTD and goes as high as $200,000 GTD. The Circuit Main Event will take place on the December 12 and it will feature a buy-in of meagre $525 and the buy-ins go up to $1,000. On the same day, i.e. 12 December, a satellite will take place offering at least 20 seats to the Circuit event. Players located in Nevada and New Jersey will also be able to take part.
Though there was a huge setback due to the pandemic, the WSOP has been busy throughout this year, offering players access to premium stand-alone events. This has eventually led to the growth over the past few months in the number of participants in online events. It is expected that the series taking place starting today will see a solid influx of players taking part.
