WSOPE: Mick Heder leads Day 2 of The Colossus

All Day 1 flights were combined yesterday at the Event #15: €550 Colossus No-Limit Hold’em, marking the last bracelet tournament in King’s Casino, Rozvadov at the mini World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Day 2 witnessed a total number of 313 players resuming to battle it out.

It was a long 12-hour action on Day 2, the players bagging their chips after 15 levels, finally trimming down the field to the 11 players looking forward to the showdown later today. The player of the night was Mick Heder with the largest stack of 12,100,000 chips. Heder entered the day with 369,000 chips and eventually managed to double his stack after an all-in that came from Balazs Bistei.

The eventual chip leader collected from the pot and winning with his flush on the turn. The Danish player has already cashed in 4 WSOP events and this time he is hoping to grab his career-first gold bracelet. The 9 first flights saw chip leaders entering the day but only to end their journey including Yordanov Karagogov (46th, €3,381), Day 1B chip leader Colin Grunow (66th, €2,362), Simon Burns Day 1F chip leader (72nd, €2,362), Day 1A chip leader Zhong Chen (94th, €1,485), and Shalom Kadosh (137th, €1,325).

The field continued to shrink and was only favorable to bracelet winner Shaun Deeb and Bertrand Grospellier progressing to Day 3 while 2-time bracelet winner Robert Campbell (149th, €1,325) and 6-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu (195th, €1,240) were early to bust, losing the chance to increase their bracelet count in King’s Casino.
