Octro Inc Welcomes Arup Das As Its New CTO

The gaming company Octro Inc has recently appointed Arup Das as its next chief technology officer (CTO). Octro offers users a wide range of online games like Indian Rummy, Tambola and Teen Patti. Das will be operating from the company’s Delhi-NCR office. The brand has Sequoia Capital as one of its investors.

According to a KPMG report, the online gaming industry is expected to be valued at around ₹29,000 crore with a user base of over 650 million in India. An AIG report indicates that 76% of gamers believe that through gaming an individual is more likely to develop a strong analytical ability in order to win a game.

Das is an MBA graduate from the Wharton Business School and has a Master of Science in computer vision and image processing from the University of Calgary, Canada. With educational qualifications like these, there is no doubt that Das is an expert in technology. He has worked with companies like Nucleus Software, Cisco, Aristocrat and Goals101. This makes him a valuable addition to the Octro team.
